To create a tree house with a thatched roof for the children to play.
The Result
We squeezed this children’s tree house between two trees, making it a really snug little place for the children to relax and have fun. It was a real challenge to thatch, as it was impossible to get a working platform around it!
The reed for the roof came from the Norfolk Broads, willow from Cambridge and sweet chestnut from the Suffolk / Essex border. It was a lot of fun to design and build, and will be very well used!
