Play Structure, Ely
The Brief
We were commissioned to design and build a custom wooden play structure with a royal twist, a nod to the King of England. This bespoke play carriage now proudly stands in Kings Acremont, Ely, Cambridgeshire, offering a unique and charming addition to the landscape.
The Result
This handcrafted play structure was a joy to bring to life. We researched royal carriages from around the world to inspire a one-of-a-kind design that would capture children’s imaginations.
Made entirely from natural materials, the carriage features larch shingle roofing, a solid oak framework, and beautiful cladding in sweet chestnut and Douglas fir. It’s a stunning example of artisan wooden play equipment, built to last and designed with care.
