Shelves and Mirror made by Artisan Structures

Duncan Dodds and William Trundley are local carpenters who specialise in traditional carpentry, joinery and rustic furniture building. Working with natural green coppiced materials and introducing traditional forest crafts to their structures and furniture.

Tim has worked on many commissioned pieces of all shapes and sizes. Some of his work can be seen on his website – he has also entered carving competitions all over the world and is extremely well known and respected in the chainsaw carving world.
This style of carving can add something completely different to a bench or a structure.

We found a passion for building timberframe structures when approached by the local primary school in Exning, Suffolk. They wanted an outdoor classroom that made you feel like you were in the woods, so that is what we created.

Our other passion is creating beautiful rustic pieces of furniture for the house or garden, using a wide range of hardwoods, letting the beauty of the wood come through.

We can work from sketched ideas or CAD designs from an architect. We enjoy discussing with the customer what they are trying to achieve and coming up with ideas with them to make the perfect piece of furniture or structure.
